‘How long is the Hel Peninsula?’

The Hel Peninsula, properly known as the Hel Spit, is 35 kilometers long. It is located in the northern part of Poland.

The Hel Spit was formed by the deposition of sand from the sea bottom by marine currents. It is one of the most popular attractions in Poland, with numerous seaside resorts including Władysławowo, Jastarnia, Jurata, Chałupy, and Hel.

There is a road for cars (provincial road no. 216) on the Hel Peninsula that can be driven almost to the very end of the spit. Buses also run along the way.
