What is the Paschal Triduum?

The word triduum from Latin means three days. This is the most important period in the liturgical year of the Roman Catholic Church and the Old Catholic Church. The assumption of the triduum is reflection on the paschal mystery, that is, the passion, death and resurrection of Christ. The Easter Triduum begins on Holy Thursday and ends on Easter Sunday.
