What year did the most people live in Poland?

The largest number of people resided in Poland in 2011. It was a record-breaking 38,538.4 thousand individuals. Since then, however, the population of our country has been steadily declining, and by 2020, it was only 38,268 thousand people. This decrease is primarily due to a negative natural increase, which means that in Poland, more people die each year than children are born. There is no indication that this trend will reverse in the coming years, so we should expect further declines.
