What was the price of bitcoin in the early years of 2009 and 2010?

Do you know how much Bitcoin cost at the very beginning, right after its creation in 2009? Generally, the value of anything is exactly what someone is willing to pay for it. At the beginning, when nobody knew about the project, Bitcoin was worth 0.00 PLN because it was only exchanged between its creators, and no one was willing to pay any amount for it.

Bitcoin achieved its first “significant value” in 2010, which was around 10 cents USD, or approximately 40 groszys. So, by spending $10 (40 PLN) at that time, you could have purchased 100 bitcoins, which today (at the time of writing this article with a Bitcoin valuation of about 250,000 PLN) would be worth around 100 x 250,000 = 25,000,000 PLN or 25 million Polish złotys. But… who could have predicted back then that the cryptocurrency would achieve such results?

Unfortunately, no one knows if we are at the proverbial peak of Bitcoin’s value, or if we are heading towards new records, such as surpassing the $100,000 mark, which I think would be a truly historic event. It will be interesting to read this article in the future and compare the current value of Bitcoin to the ones mentioned here. Will we regret not investing a small amount, or will we say it was just a “bubble”? Remember, when investing, only risk what you are willing to lose in the worst-case scenario.

By the way, if you’re looking for a reliable cryptocurrency exchange where you can try your luck even with a small budget, I can recommend the exchange I personally use, our Polish Zonda (formerly BitBay) -> official website link. Importantly, opening and maintaining an account is free, so even if you decide that it’s not for you, you can simply end the trading.
