What is the rarest eye color?

The human iris has a variety of different shades, but in general classification, the most prominent colors are brown, blue, green, and gray. It is estimated that nearly 90% of the population has eyes with brown shades. Another 7% has blue eyes, while people with gray eyes make up 2% of the population. The least common are eyes with a green shade, which are possessed by only 1% of people.
