‘Since we stopped wearing masks’

Since when haven’t we been wearing masks? This question has been asked multiple times over the past two years. Now we have a definitive answer. The end of the mask mandate will take place at the beginning of next week.

Starting from next Monday, March 28, 2022, there will no longer be a need to wear masks in shops and public transportation. This also includes the lifting of the mask requirement in the workplace. The new mask-wearing rules were announced on Thursday, March 24, 2022.

Can we go everywhere without masks?

However, it should be emphasized that the mask mandate still remains in medical facilities. While we don’t have to wear them in supermarkets and buses, we still need to wear masks in clinics and hospitals. So, do I have to wear a mask when going to the doctor? The answer for now is yes. Along with the lifting of the requirement to cover the nose and mouth in shops and public transportation, the management of isolations by sanitary-epidemiological services has also been announced to end. From now on, an infected patient will receive a medical leave.
